speaker1: This week on Spooky Coop, episode number 61, Paul and Michelle tell the story of the Australian backpack killer, followed by a discussion of paranormal ranches in the United States.
speaker1: Hi everyone, I'm Paul.
speaker2: And I'm Michelle.
speaker1: And you're in
speaker2: the spooky coup.
speaker1: Welcome to the spooky goo. SP.
speaker1: Hope you're not chicken. 2 1 Hello, Michelle. How are you doing today?
speaker2: Hey, Paul. How's it going?
speaker1: Fine, thank you. And I see you have brought a friend with you today.
speaker2: This is Dragon. Say hi, Dragon. Hi.
speaker1: Okay. Hi, buddy.
[01:15]
speaker2: Paul's doesn't like reptile.
speaker1: Where's all the little soldiers that I keep in his pen for him?
speaker2: Anyway, welcome back everybody. We're glad that you've uh you've you've come again to join us and
speaker1: second podcast.
speaker2: Second video cast.
speaker1: Video cast still video cast. Yeah.
speaker2: Yeah. 60 podcasts now.
speaker2: And uh this is working still working on the lights. Paul looks okay. I look as white as Mike Pence Coveted Mayonnaise.
speaker1: I am whiter than you. Don't don't you know.
speaker2: Yeah, cuz I'm native mostly. Well, doesn't matter.
[02:30]
speaker2: About a third Native Americans. This is not my native skin color.
speaker1: Anyway, we got a good show. We hope
speaker2: we have a good show. For those of you who are joining us for the first time, welcome to the spooky coupe. This is a place where our superpowers are in our mistakes, the bloopers, all the silly. This is a properly silly place to come to just relax, talk about the paranormal, and today mass murderers. So,
speaker1: yeah, paranormal, mass murderers, UFOs, serial killers, The whole nine yards.
speaker2: The whole nine yards.
[03:45]
speaker1: Whole nine yards. Of things you generally don't talk about at dinner time.
speaker2: That's right.
speaker1: Yeah. No religion, no politics.
speaker2: If you are eating dinner, uh you may want to
speaker1: Today you might want to stop
speaker2: for our first story. You may want to put that aside. Um because our first story today is about the Australian serial killer, also known as the backpacker killer. His name was Ivan Millet.
speaker1: Yeah. Not like the bird seed.
speaker2: No, not like the bird seed.
speaker1: Yeah.
speaker2: Yeah. He made may have made bird seed out of some of his victims. I'm not sure. Yeah. So, we're going to explore explore tonight the most famous Australian ser serial killer associated with hikers and backpackers whose name is Ivan Millet. And um between 1989 1992, Millet terrorized young travelers in New South Wales, targeting hitchhikers and hikers traveling along the Hume Highway. He lured his victims under the guise of offering them rides before taking them into the remote Bel Balanglo State Forest where he brutally tortured and murdered them. Nice fellow.
[05:00]
speaker1: Yeah, we're going to have to tape your notes on the screen so people can see your eyes. Yeah.
speaker2: Sorry, we don't have teleprompterss here. As I mentioned, our superpower is in the relaxed nature of the video cast. You know, he was convicted of murdering seven people. He probably murdered more. Um, you know, and he wouldn't have even got caught except that he made a mistake. I mean, that's how they all get caught, I guess. But this was a big mistake. And this mistake when you when we get to that, I was shocked at how stupid the Australian police force was.
[06:15]
speaker1: You you you you have a a gravitational awareness towards acts of stupidity.
speaker2: Yeah, I do. My love, my husband.
speaker1: Was I your biggest mistake?
speaker2: No, actually, you were my best mistake.
speaker1: Best mistake. The best any mistake you ever made.
speaker2: That's true. Contrary.
speaker1: So anyway, and the key details of the case, we're going to go give you a quick outline here and then we're going to dive into we're going to do a deeper dive. So regarding the victims, Millet was convicted of murdering seven young people, five international backpackers from Britain and Germany, and two Australian hikers. Regarding the location, the Bolanglo State Forest is located southwest of Sydney, and it became nationally infamous after orienteers and locals stumbled upon the buried remains between 1992 and 1993.
[07:30]
speaker2: Now, I had to ask what an orienteer was cuz I thought it was like a musketeer or I got so excited. I had no idea what an orientation.
speaker1: For those of you who do not know, orientering is uh it's it's a type of competition game. People get uh compasses, plastic back compasses, and maps, and they're told to find different locations in a in a certain order. And there's, you know, they can spice it up a little bit, saying they have to pick up whatever is is uh you know is at this location to prove they've been there and they basically send you through the most horrid terrain possible to run in this big circle.
[08:45]
speaker2: It's like a boy scout. Uh I did it when I was 12 and 13. Had a great time. So how he was caught, he was a British hic hiccuper, a British hitchhiker. Um his name was Paul Onions.
speaker1: Yeah. I mean I kept saying seriously Paul Onion. Seriously,
speaker2: he managed to escape Millet.
speaker1: When he told me that, I just cried.
speaker2: He managed to escape Millet in 1990 after Millet pulled a gun on him along the highway. And years later, after news broke of the forest discoveries, onions contacted a Austria. Australia Australian
[10:00]
speaker1: Austrian authorities.
speaker2: Is it Austrian or Australian?
speaker1: Oh dear. Now we have a huge edit.
speaker2: It's Australian. Australian. Yes, it's me.
speaker1: You're not Australia.
speaker2: No, I My mind flipped.
speaker1: Australia.
speaker2: Your mind went down under.
speaker1: My mind went down under for a moment. I was like He contacted the Australian authorities and his identification of Millet proved critical in securing a warrant.
speaker2: Anyway, the whole thing was was the basis for that movie um Wolf Creek.
speaker1: Yes.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: Yeah. It it inspired uh Wolf Creek.
[11:00]
speaker2: Yep. And anyway, the guy died in prison in 2019. Yeah.
speaker1: Yeah. So, why don't we d deep dive into it?
speaker2: Oh, yay.
speaker1: Yay. Let's deep dive and make sure that it was in Australia, not Austria.
speaker2: Yeah. A definitely Australia.
speaker1: Yep. Yep. So,
speaker2: my eyes. Damned my eyes. I think it's my glasses, dear.
speaker1: Yeah. Okay.
speaker2: Nothing to do with old age.
speaker1: All right. So, okay. So, in this deep dive. Okay. Let's go back into this backpacker killer of Australia. All right.
speaker2: Now, what actually happened happened is that in September of 1992, I think it was. Okay. Because I'm trying to do this without going like this to the script because frankly I can't read. I mean, I can read, but not this close. Not after my brain injury and dyslexic brain injury. Talk about um uh creepy pasta. Anyway, um in September of '92, uh the police had these disappearances that were happening up and down in this area, different provinces or uh areas and they weren't connecting them until like they started finding the bodies in this forest. So Paul, why don't you tell them?
[12:15]
speaker1: Yeah. On September 19th, 1992, there was two orienteers. They were running through a remote section of Balanglo and discovered the concealed human body. Uh police arrived the next day and found a second body just 30 m away. After they'd contacted police, dental records quickly confirmed them and identified and confirmed them to be British backpackers Caroline Clark and Joanne Walters who had vanished leaving Sydney together to hitchhike south hitchhike south 5 months earlier. So, and now the second pair and the motor operandi 1993 after an initial sweep of the area failed to reveal more remains. The search stalled for over a year.
[13:30]
speaker2: Yeah, there was they didn't find anything. But then lo and behold
speaker1: Yeah. On October 5th, 93, a local man searching for firewood in a remote part of the forest, Banglo forest, stumbled upon human bones and police searched the clearing and they uncovered two more skeletons identified as a Victorian couple, James Gibson and Deborah Everest.
speaker2: Of course, he means from Victoria Province, not that they had been dead since 1870.
speaker1: Yeah. So, forensic pathologists noted a distinct brutal signature and this is rather horrid, so plug your ears. or listen. I mean, that's what you're here for.
[14:45]
speaker2: Plug your ears.
speaker1: Both male and female victims suffered incapacitating spinal knife wounds designed to paralyze them along with gunshots and blunt force trauma.
speaker2: Yeah. What they found out this guy used to do is he used to have enough knowledge to know where to stab them in their spines so they couldn't move. And then after they couldn't move, he spent time to torturing them before he killed them. What a reap.
speaker1: I mean, it's just a testament to their their their moniker. Everybody needs a hobby.
speaker2: Oh, please stop saying that.
[16:00]
speaker2: And then and then um people that's when they realized that even though these people were going missing from different places that there was one killer cuz they started seeing this everywhere, right? And then um so then they started sweeping that area and then they uh in November they found another body. Okay. They found a body of a German backpacker. Now, I'm gonna get this name wrong. Simone uh Middleton. Anyway, if you're German, I'm really really sorry.
speaker1: H M I D L
speaker2: If you're German, I'm very very sorry.
[17:15]
speaker1: Yes.
speaker2: And if you're And if you're from Massachusetts, you're probably laughing. So, you're grateful. Uh thank you. You're welcome.
speaker1: Never mind.
speaker2: Anyway, the same thing happened to her body. Uh but her um her the funny part was right next to her. She had clothing that didn't belong to her and it actually might have been clothing that he took from the other dead bodies. Um and in November, just 3 days later, they found uh another person, another German person um uh who had been hiking with her and another person too, a couple that had been hiking with her and they were in shallow graves. Some It seems that some of the people who were not in graves might have been dug up by animals because um there were signs of graves around the bodies.
[18:30]
speaker1: Yeah. And those two were do you mind me mentioning the names here? Gabber Njabau and Ana Habs Habshed.
speaker2: That's why I didn't mention the names. I knew he was going to attempt
speaker1: I was attempting to bail you.
speaker2: And and they had the same backstabs um as the other ones. Um and uh all seven of these people vanished um on the same you know their routes that they were taking hitchhiking was in the same road
speaker1: right
speaker2: but not in the same area.
speaker1: Yeah. The bullets were recovered um from Carolyn Clark and Gabber Npower and makeshift campsites in the forest match the exact same 22 caliber Ruger rifle. Did I say that right? Ruger.
[19:45]
speaker2: I think so. Yeah.
speaker1: It wasn't a Luger. It was a Ruger.
speaker2: Ruger. Yes.
speaker1: Not craw.
speaker2: Severe. remember that?
speaker1: Yes. And get smart. I do remember the craw.
speaker2: Not the craw.
speaker1: Craw.
speaker2: Severe stab wounds to the upper spine were present on multiple victims showing a repeated method used to paralyze them. And uh missing items from earlier victims such as sleeping bags, backpacks, and clothing were routinely logged as absent from the crime scenes.
speaker2: Maybe he was trying to set up a um you know, one of those uh secondhand shops for camping equipment.
[21:00]
speaker1: That's where pirates go to get their hooks.
speaker2: Secondhand shop.
speaker1: Yes.
speaker2: Yeah. Well, anyway, the the items that they logged is missing, they eventually discovered inside Ivan Millet's home during his arrest later on.
speaker1: You really have to find something to bring the um the
speaker2: Now, you want to talk about this now? We're in the middle of this story and you want to refine things now.
speaker1: Okay. Okay.
speaker2: The full story of Paul onion's narrow escape from Ivan Millet. Okay, let's talk about that because that was really something else.
[22:00]
speaker1: Mhm.
speaker2: Okay, so on 25th of January, okay, 1990,
speaker1: that's my sister's birthday, but not in 1990.
speaker2: Anyway, uh um on that day, right, um he was in the car. Paul Onions was in Paul Onion. Sorry, not Oh, it is onions. We had several Onions. He was in the car. Um he was hitchhiking and he saw this guy ride by, right in a what was it? A white car. Um Anyway, um uh he was he this kite this car drove by and he was hitchhiking and the car stopped and so he got in. The guy looked normal. The guy seemed fine.
[23:00]
speaker1: Yeah. I think he was looking to find work picking fruit in Milduria or something or
speaker2: So the onion wanted vegetable wanted fruit.
speaker1: Yeah. Mr. Onions wanted to pick fruit. Yes.
speaker2: Yeah. It's it's a great organic life.
speaker1: Uhhuh.
speaker2: So So what followed My dear, what followed?
speaker1: So, he was walking up that Humes Highway, right? And um and then this car pulled over. What was the car called? A a Patriot or something like that.
speaker2: No, it was a Nissan Patrol.
speaker1: A Nissan Patrol. I've never seen one of those.
speaker2: I've never seen one here.
[24:00]
speaker1: Maybe they have them out there. Well, obviously they do. So, the car pulls over and he talks to the guy. The guy seems normal. Says, "I'm going that way. Come on in." So, he gets in. Nothing seems a miss. And they're driving. Everything's going fine and then the guy pulls over. Just pulls over. At first he's thinking, you know, maybe the guy has to go pee or maybe the guy needs to um, you know, move something around in his car cuz he starts fishing in the back seat, you know, I mean the over the, you know, over the seat.
[25:00]
speaker2: And then he realizes uh he's, you know, he's thinking, I'll take off my seat belt and go out cuz maybe needs a stretches. I don't know, whatever. And then he he um sees the driver guy is reaching for a gun and for a rope and he says to him, "Put your seat belt back on now." And so he does, but then he realizes this guy's got a rope and he says, "I'm going to tie you up." And he sees the guy's got a gun and he says, "If you don't get that seat belt back on, I'm going to shoot you." And he looks the uh this guy Onions looks right into the barrel of the gun and he sees that it's loaded. There's a there's a bullet in in that chamber and his gut tells him that's it. He's dead, you know.
[26:00]
speaker1: Mhm. And what scared him more was the rope.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: than the gun because he knew once he saw the rope that that that was it. If he got tied up, that that would have been it.
speaker2: Yep. Right. Right. Dragon. So, what does he do?
speaker1: Runs like heck.
speaker2: He decides to bolt.
speaker1: He undoes that seat belt and he's out of there.
speaker2: Seat belt and and decides either get shot right there and have it done with or or have some chance. So he bolts out of the car.
speaker1: Brave
speaker2: runs into traffic.
speaker1: Brave runs facing into oncoming traffic waving his arms.
[27:00]
speaker2: The thing is this guy is doing this in on a street on a busy highway. This car is going and he's pulling over trying to tie people up and stuff and sh you know. Yeah.
speaker1: He's that brazen.
speaker2: Yeah. So who
speaker1: So Paul who who was it who stopped for him?
speaker2: Well First off, he's playing Frogger on the highway.
speaker1: I'll tell you guys, but first, the guy's still shooting at him.
speaker2: Uh, I don't know. Was he?
speaker1: Yes, he was. He was still shooting. Yeah, read your notes. I wrote them. Well, you wrote them and I helped you with them, but you did write them.
[28:00]
speaker2: I I know cuz when I was helping you correct them.
speaker1: Yeah. He was attempting to He followed him down the highway. He got out of the truck and he's following him down, trying to tackle him and shoot him. Yeah,
speaker2: but who stops but a woman named Joanne Barry driving with her children.
speaker1: She had kids in the car.
speaker2: You talk about Now this is bravery. This is true.
speaker1: A craziness.
speaker2: True bravery. She didn't have to stop.
speaker1: No, she didn't.
speaker2: She didn't. She made a choice. She slammed on the brakes, propped open the door, and let him dive in the car, and she took off.
[29:00]
speaker1: Yeah. I And I I It didn't say And the notes in the stuff we were researching, it did not say if he kept shot at her car as they were leaving. Yeah.
speaker2: But yeah, we couldn't find it out of there. Yep.
speaker1: And so, and meanwhile, he's left everything. His uh his backpack, his passport, his money, all his I just
speaker2: It doesn't matter. I'm in the middle. The cadence is fre. Oh my god.
speaker1: I know. I know.
speaker2: So, anyway, and I brought him down. Busy. After that, Barry Barry got a ride. with her directly to the police station in nearby Bal where he gave detailed statement about Bill the Nissan patrol and the gun and rope. The guy this guy um introduced himself as as Bill the serial killer. Um and so he he said this guy Bill tried to pick me up and or picked me up and then tried he was going to go kill me.
[30:00]
speaker1: But uh he was unharmed and there was no no body or anything that they could find to you know
speaker2: Yeah. And do anything about And they logged so they logged it away, largely overlooked. And uh he was given $10 for train fair to go to the British High Commission in Sydney to replace his lost passport, which he did and ran ran ran home to the UK.
speaker1: Yeah. This guy was yelling um all kinds of racial slurs, all kinds of xenophobic rants. Um he was yelling about, you know, killing people, foreigners, and trying to kill this guy. Pointed a loaded gun at him. Uh told him all kinds of stuff is going to, you know, this was stuff that if this happened in probably the country you're in, definitely in the country we're in, somebody would have done something.
[31:00]
speaker2: Mhm.
speaker1: Not just said, "Here's 10 bucks. Go uh go get another passport."
speaker2: So, in regard to breaking the case.
speaker1: Yes.
speaker2: Four years later in 93, headlines reached Britain that human remains belonging to missing backpackers were being unearthed in Australia's Bango State Banglow State Forest. Why can't it Say that word. Belanglo. Recognizing the geographic connection, Onyions called the New South Wales Police Task Force, also called Task Force Air, AIRIR, in April of 94 to report his 1990 attack. Detectives dug through archived paperwork and retrieved his original Bowel Police report, which was corroborated by independent records from Joanne Barry.
[32:00]
speaker1: That's right. M Ms. Brave. Miss Very Brave. So after that, the positive identification provide provided detectives with the legal justification they needed to secure a search warrant and for Millet's home and all his family properties.
speaker2: And what's interesting Oh, go ahead. I'll cut you off. Go ahead.
speaker1: During the raid, the police discovered weapons matching the ballistic evidence from the crime scenes, including sleeping bags, clothing cameras, and camping gear belonging to the murdered backpackers.
[33:00]
speaker2: Yeah. You know what was interesting? That Paul Onion guy.
speaker1: Mhm.
speaker2: He
speaker1: Onions.
speaker2: No, thank you. You um That Paul Onions guy flew all the way from where he lived down back to Australia.
speaker1: They flew him down. They Oh, did they?
speaker2: Yeah. That the police, they flew him down.
speaker1: Oh, but he decided to come all the way down there.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: Yep. To to testify in court.
speaker2: Yeah. His single split-second decision and his willingness to return Yeah. I guess he had a choice. Return to Australia. was the single catalyst that brought Ivan Millet to justice.
[34:00]
speaker1: Yeah, that was something else. Anyway, they got the guy off the street. What a creepy thing.
speaker2: Ivan, you're an a******, but he's dead.
speaker1: Well, you know what? He's returned to creation.
speaker2: Good reason, good reason not to to hitchhike anymore. I mean, I remember when we were kids, even it was just at that point where hitchhiking was not cool.
speaker1: Mhm.
speaker2: But the 10 years before we were born, 20 through the 80s through the 80s and 70s, it was the thing, especially in the ' 70s. 60s. In the 60s.
speaker1: Yeah.
speaker2: 70s it was getting dangerous.
[35:00]
speaker1: Yeah. 60s. 60s. Definitely. It was like people were going from uh from Boston to to LA hitchhiking the whole way.
speaker2: Right.
speaker1: Yeah.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: Or jumping in train cars.
speaker2: Yeah. It was the groovy thing to do.
speaker1: Yeah. Groovy.
speaker2: Okay. So, our next story now then this is more fun. Yep. Because we always like to go from the, you know, stories to the Oh my, look at that. This story is really really cool. Um I I decided I was going to do like some a deep dive into um what's that ranch?
speaker1: Skinwalker.
speaker2: Skinwalker Ranch. But then I realized everyone has done that. Everyone. So I started like getting into my head about different ranches I've heard of that have had things happen.
[36:00]
speaker1: Mhm.
speaker2: And so I did a little bit about that. So I uh I thought you guys might want to hear about some ranches.
speaker1: I was surprised to hear there was more than A more than a couple of these.
speaker2: Yeah. These ranches that kind of make Skin Walker Ranch look like a Saturday afternoon in the park. You want to hear about them?
speaker1: No.
speaker2: Well, you got the papers. You might as well.
speaker1: Okay. Why don't you start up?
speaker2: All right. Okay. Um I I was thinking about it, right? So, let's get started. All right. Um let's see. This is like real high strangers stuff here. So, um sit down, get some popcorn. you know, maybe some bacon cuz the first one uh is Frogw Walker Ranch. Has anybody ever heard of Frog Walker Ranch? It's really good. Okay, so um
[37:00]
speaker1: it's not just your grandfather's haunted houses anymore, is it?
speaker2: Nope. Nope. Nope, it isn't. Uh All right. So,
speaker1: and these are massive tracks of land.
speaker2: Yep.
speaker1: Where UFOs, cryptids, and poltergeist seem to hold a permanent lease.
speaker2: Yeah. You know, I dragon picked a page for for me. I lost track. It's a treasure ranch. Like, you know, like it's one of those places. It's not like a cattle ranch. It's not like one of those places where um they're growing a lot of feed or anything. More or less, it's a place where they dig up minerals and everything. And um and the land itself is very very active. The thing is is that um it's like people have called it like a haunt. place. It's got a real reputation, but a lot of people don't know about it. Go ahead. Why don't you
[38:00]
speaker1: Is it the Treasure Ranch you're talking about?
speaker2: Yeah. Well, it's called um uh it's called uh uh Blind Fro Blind Frog Ranch. I think I called it Frog Hopper Ranch a minute ago.
speaker1: I think it's I think you're talking about the treasure ranch here, Jared, because Blind Yeah. Yeah. Blind Frog Ranch.
speaker2: Okay. So, anyway, people talk about the gold, but the real story is the activity. We're we're talking about massive glowing orbs that hover over the canyon floor, lights that move with intelligent intent, and the feeling of being watched by something that isn't human. Yeah. One witness said, now this is a funny part as I write these things down and I have other things going in my head. They say that these lights um that they find these huge like glowing orbs. Now, these aren't little. These are massive things that can get little big little big, but they're huge and they're they like solid. ID, right? And they followed it around and it was just coming at the sky right for them. And then it went voom underground and then it would then they saw them coming up out of the ground and then you know in and out right from the ground.
[39:00]
speaker1: That's amazing.
speaker2: That's really really awesome.
speaker1: How they could f whatever the heck they are.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: Now there are uh we there are orbs that we know about that that the aliens have um we call them fats.
speaker2: Yeah. Cuz in their language they call them something like that. I can't
speaker1: something like that. Yeah. They have this weird and they don't even
speaker2: My dialect is very bad. Bad. Yeah. And these things they they can fly like lightning. They can hover still. They can go underwater, out of water. I've personally eyeballed them coming out of the water less than 12 feet from me on Lake Ontario.
[40:00]
speaker1: They don't even make it ripple.
speaker2: They don't make a sound. It's it's remarkable how how they how they do that.
speaker1: Now there are other phenomen I'm sure that involve orbs, right? Um there there's some certain cryptids that will can produce an orb light that we know about. The little people can do that various sizes and move around and streak all over the place. So, we don't know quite what this is, but it it it was something. Yeah.
speaker2: So, anyway, back back. Okay. It's like this whole place. It's like a cosmic highway, isn't it? All through that region.
[41:00]
speaker1: Yeah. Yeah. That whole um Utah basin. Um and uh they're saying that uh you know that there's like this underground area people think where all these orbs kind of move around sort of like an imaginary thin layer of crust that for whatever reason.
speaker2: Yeah. It's leaking that this phenomenon is leaking through or maybe the aliens have some sort of tunnel through it, you know.
speaker1: Yeah. Well, Skinwalker Ranch, we know what used to be there. We were told what used to be there. There was a large base that was underneath there which was no longer there. It was
[42:00]
speaker2: done away with. We won't get into that those details.
speaker1: Yeah. Government a government what do they call that? Surplus sale.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: No. Apparently what's under the underneath skiner there's they can only find little tiny pieces if they were to dig down in the right place which they may have done already because I I I recall seeing something on TV about it. Go have a look. Okay. So, like a leaky faucet, but instead of water, we're getting interdimensional entities. And much worse for the plumbing, by the way.
[43:00]
speaker2: Yeah, it really is. Yeah. Can you imagine the plunger?
speaker1: Yeah.
speaker2: You bring up an alien head.
speaker1: Speaking of leaky clogged my toilet.
speaker2: Speaking of leaky faucets. They don't like water. They flip over and drown stuff. They're terrified of it. Let's head to Arizona. Stardust Ranch. See Stardust Ranch. Right.
speaker1: Where where is it?
speaker2: Why does my script say My script says uh John Edmonds claimed he had a fight with Grace who chased him with the samurai sword. Um sometimes I don't know if I should read these things. Um okay, where it is. Um
[44:00]
speaker1: yeah. Yeah. The owner the owner of Stardust Ranch.
speaker2: Oh, okay. Now this is one
speaker1: John Edmonds. He claim He had to fight off Graves with a samurai sword.
speaker2: I had to fight off a gray nun with a samurai sword once. Well, she tried to fight me off. She chased me down a Anyway, let's not talk about that right now.
speaker1: I really I I with all
speaker2: No, you can't make this stuff up.
speaker1: With all due respect to Mr. Edmonds here, um this is probably the highest strange account of an encounter with Grace I've ever heard of. I don't know what year it was uh that this happened, but I I I'm not going to No, no, it's so odd you have to believe it.
[45:00]
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: I mean, it's so odd you have to believe it. I mean,
speaker2: if you had to if you had to escape a nun with a samurai sword in high school, this is perfectly possible.
speaker1: Yeah, it really is. Absolutely. It is a event of my heart.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: Yeah, it really is.
speaker2: Yeah. I can picture the grave saying, "Put the sword down. You're going to hurt yourself. Just relax.
speaker1: Just put it down. It'll pass right through me."
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: And it'll swing right back and hit you.
speaker2: We'll phase it up. Don't worry. Everything's fine.
[46:00]
speaker1: Anyways, But the activity didn't stop there. I mean, you know, you take that aside and uh this is that place that people always hear about the cattle mutate mutations. You know, cows turn themselves inside out all the time.
speaker2: Yes.
speaker1: Yeah. I mean, those that we should do a whole show on that.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: Yeah. That was You remember Linda M.
speaker2: Linda Molton? How? Don't say the nickname.
speaker1: I I know people were so mean to her. She was a friend of mine, too.
speaker2: She was a very nice lady.
speaker1: She was a very nice lady and she was a friend of mine. Um anyway, um I mean, not a close friend.
[47:00]
speaker2: She she devoted a lot of time trying to sort out. She first started out in the out um into UFOs. She was a very close friend. And then we kind of lost touch cuz people kind of went in all different directions, but she was a very nice person. I could call her in.
speaker1: Was that when you were editing contact magazine?
speaker2: Yeah, when I was contact forum. I was the editor of Contact Forum magazine till it went out of business. Um anyway, um that's his ranch is where a lot of the uh um cattle mutilations happen. happen. Um, you know, a lot of stuff like that.
[48:00]
speaker1: And he saw crafts that that looked like it was made out of molten metal.
speaker2: Right. Right. He
speaker1: liquid metal.
speaker2: Like liquid metal. Like it didn't look like really really hardformed. It looked
speaker1: It would just appear in the middle appear in the middle of the day. It would just like all of a sudden uh materialize like liquid. It would like mercury. Like um like mercury in a um you know just boom. I had a picture in my head of seeing a ship just of appearing out of nothing and seeing these line this sort of aura of line around it. The object as it appeared and made came into form,
[49:00]
speaker2: right? And some people not even knowing about this ranch have reported seeing things like that. I have not been lucky enough to see something like that. I would love to see it. It must be absolutely amazing to see like this. I've seen ships appear, but I've never seen this liquid molten ship type thing appear. And he says that when it appeared. It was so um shiny, so uh vibrant, right? Yeah.
speaker1: Yeah. It's got to be amazing.
speaker2: So, it's the sheer volume of activity that gets me here. You know, it it's not a once in a while thing. It's a daily grind of high stranges. And if you live there, you'd have to put alien encounter on your calendar next to dentist appointment.
[50:00]
speaker1: It's like at our house.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: What are you going to do today? Uh I got to clean the kitchen. I gotta uh take the dog to the vet. I gotta duck the the UFOs coming over the back.
speaker2: Sorry I'm late, boss. A portal open then the driveway of course.
speaker1: Yeah.
speaker2: So So we we have to talk about the San Louis Valley in Colorado. It's not a ranch, but it's a massive high desert basin that acts like one. It's the epicenter of the cattle mutilation phenomena. Another epicenter. Yeah.
speaker1: Right. Another epicenter of cattle mutilation.
[51:00]
speaker2: It's famous for silent helicopters and glowing orbs.
speaker1: Hey, you know what? We really really wanted We really Keep mentioning it. We got to do the catam mutilations.
speaker2: Yeah. Okay.
speaker1: Okay. All right. We'll do that, guys.
speaker2: Yeah. Okay. Yeah. You said silent helicopters, glowing orbs over here. Page three. Page three. Page three. Top. Top.
speaker1: It's our superpower. We don't do any editing. You get to see the whole organic mess here. Yep. It's complete silliness.
speaker2: We love you guys. That's why we let you into our madness. chaos.
[52:00]
speaker1: It keeps us young.
speaker2: It keeps us Yeah. on the on the inside.
speaker1: A dragon.
speaker2: Yeah. We're young people, but we're we're 30 year olds in in uh we're getting the outsides wrinkled. The 30 year olds are like, "Get out of our bodies. You're getting them wrinkled." U anyway, uh it's a weird mix of desert beauty in absolute chaos. You know, um there are reports there of shadow people. There are reports reports there of odd sounds.
speaker1: Shadow anything is not good, by the way.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: Yeah. Shadow anything is you want to get rid of it.
[53:00]
speaker2: Yeah. Um there's there's reports of strange sounds and tones that only some people can hear. Um cold spots, um all kinds any phenomenon you can think of just about.
speaker1: And the ships, the ships, the ships,
speaker2: they're saucer-shaped and cigar- shaped, which is awesome because ics are quick to say people don't report those anymore.
speaker1: Oh yeah. Oh, sorry. Yeah. You know, you'll hear that pe the um people who want to say that uh UFOs and alien abductions and seeing aliens, seeing UFOs is only a modern um thing from our brains. It's like people started seeing UFOs in the 50s.
[54:00]
speaker2: Well, in this case, because we're not seeing, people are reporting other odd shapes like triangles and Vshapes and that sort of thing. But there and and orbs, round orbs, but they're the these ships are still in service. They're still using them, right?
speaker1: They're they're still around the planet.
speaker2: Yeah. But pe but the science the scientists eupfologist skeptics no not eupfologists skeptics are saying we saw saucers back when the word flying saucer came out and all of a sudden everyone's saying all I see is I see these saucers. I And then somebody said oh I you know they're actually looking like cigars and now you know Everyone started saying, "I saw cigar- shaped objects." And then um now they're saying, "Oh, look, nobody's saying cigars or saucers anymore because now some Star Trek episode or something like that showed a triangle."
[55:00]
speaker2: And you know what I mean? But they're saying nobody reports them anymore. In truth, they do.
speaker1: Right. They they This is such a simplistic view of the of of the whole phenomena because there are different species with different types of ships. Some of which come and go over time.
speaker2: They get new models
speaker1: and they get new models and upgrades themselves.
speaker2: Yeah. And you know what I think is interesting is people don't realize how much material goes into making a spaceship.
speaker1: Mhm. I don't I have no idea.
[56:00]
speaker2: Yeah. I mean they're so weird. You go inside of them and they're bigger inside than they are on the out.
speaker1: Yeah. They're like tardises or something.
speaker2: They're like tardis. But can you imagine Like how many planes?
speaker1: What did he call multi-dimensional ships? That's what he called the multi-dimensional ships.
speaker2: MDS.
speaker1: MDS.
speaker2: How? Oh, yeah, it does. I think it is.
speaker1: Can you imagine like how many moons or or meteorites or whatever in different solar systems they've had to take apart to get Anyway, I'm going.
[57:00]
speaker2: Okay, so what about Dul, New Mexico? Oh,
speaker1: it's not a ranch, but lots of UFO enthusiasm. enthusiasts. They believe it's a location of the king of the underground bases.
speaker2: Yeah. Why don't you tell us a little about it while I get my head back?
speaker1: Okay. Your head back.
speaker2: Oh, it's right right over there. See, if you pick it up, it's Oo, I touched dragon. It's so ew. God.
speaker1: Oh, come on. Drag. You know what? If you ever are one of those people like that has ADHD, um, or you know, something like that, uh, and you need texture to make yourself feel good. Get yourself a bearded dragon. They're lowmaintenance as long as you know how to keep the right temperature and humidity,
[58:00]
speaker2: but they have such wonderful texture and they're real chill.
speaker1: I I can I've gotten to the point where I can touch them, but to be honest, I don't I don't like reptiles. They're not my thing.
speaker2: Well, I won't get a snake. I
speaker1: That's right. You'll be you'll be losing one husband.
speaker2: I have a blue tongue skink and I have a leopard gecko. Uh so anyway, the base beneath the mesa of Dul Uh, people have been talking about Jules for decades.
speaker1: Where did I put that?
speaker2: The the reports of underground tunnels, massive multiecies interactions, and the feeling that something is happening deep beneath the surface that we aren't supposed to know about.
[59:00]
speaker1: Been there, done that.
speaker2: I have. I have been there. You have been there? Yeah. That's the place in the place in New Mexico, right?
speaker1: Yeah. I've been there. That place is really cool.
speaker2: Mhm.
speaker1: Yeah. That's the place where that you there's like a little shack.
speaker2: Mhm.
speaker1: Yeah. Like in this like area there's a fence around it and you drive up as long and then and it goes way down like 20 or 30 stories or something. This it's like something you'd expect to see like in Men in Black or something. It's just this stupid little shack. It looks like a shed that they might have water pumps in or something for this area.
[1:00:00]
speaker1: And it looks like nothing. And then you get in there and it's like this. It looks just like a closet door type thing. And all of a sudden it's this other door. You go in a elevator way down like on FL bases that they've closed up that one's not closed,
speaker2: but they're not closed. They say they're closed, but they're not closed.
speaker1: I don't think that was ever a military base. No, that was I mean, it's always a military UFO base. It was never like a It was never like used for anything else. And like on one level there's all these nautles of different ships. They take the the big guys the museum.
[1:01:00]
speaker2: Yeah, the museum. They take the military guys to look at the ships. And lower down there's meeting rooms and everything. And then lower down there's all this weird technology they use to Never mind. I'm going to get myself in some kind of trouble. But then again, I always say if the government wants to come get me and ask me what I know, I'll tell them. I don't have any secrets.
speaker1: So, you're affirming that it's not just an ultimate conspiracy hotspot, but the activity is real. real.
speaker2: Not only is it real, it's actually real.
[1:02:00]
speaker1: Yeah. And people hear humming from the ground. They feel the earth shake and they see lights emerging from the side of the mess up
speaker2: shake under their feet. They feel the sky humming around.
speaker1: It's a a place that feels heavy. Real heavy.
speaker2: Does Yeah, it does. It depends on what they're doing on what the hum is. I think the reason why some people hear the hum and others don't is because of the literal frequency. that makes their bones move really in their ears.
speaker1: That's an interesting idea.
speaker2: Yeah, because um you know because some people Oops.
[1:03:00]
speaker1: You've never mentioned that to me before. That's curious.
speaker2: Well, you never asked.
speaker1: Cuz I I I can hear
speaker2: idiot. Tell my husband. Why didn't you ask before? I don't know.
speaker1: I don't know. Cuz sometimes I can hear power lines humming.
speaker2: Mhm.
speaker1: But um
speaker2: why did why did you never ask me about cocklear bone re ver reverberation? how it could be affected by sound waves. I I have no idea. I didn't ask that. I should have.
speaker1: Yeah. I don't know. Maybe scientists uh I have no idea. People research that all the time. So maybe I'm wrong.
[1:04:00]
speaker2: Yeah. So anyway, we've got the we've got the fighting ranches, the contact ranches, and the don't you dare come here territories.
speaker1: Yep. What else do we need?
speaker2: It's a busy planet.
speaker1: It sure is.
speaker2: Don't you think?
speaker1: Mhm.
speaker2: But I wonder why the human race is the one paying the rent.
speaker1: You know, that's a good point.
speaker2: You know, we we technically own the place for renting it. I mean, we pay the rent on everything, but the aliens are the ones hanging out using the place.
speaker1: Yeah.
speaker2: It's like they're coming over using our swimming pool, but we're buying the chemicals.
[1:05:00]
speaker1: Yes.
speaker2: Mhm.
speaker1: And cleaning it out afterwards. Well, to some extent, I think they might be doing more cleaning than uh
speaker2: That we know.
speaker1: That we know
speaker2: cuz we're really messing with
speaker1: a lot of the radiation from the from the ocean floor out in the Pacific off Japan got magically just cleaned up.
speaker2: Yeah. Oh, I magically got my headphones that were destroyed.
speaker1: Lake Michigan in years got magically sort of cleared up.
speaker2: Yeah. Well, I wish they'd clear up the rest of it.
speaker1: Mhm.
speaker2: Magically.

speaker2: What is that thing in the background? Oh, that's a chicken. You just can't see the whole thing.
speaker1: Yeah, he's he's not real.
speaker2: No, that's why he's not moving. He's not a chicken. He's a rooster.
speaker1: It's a rooster. Yes.
speaker2: Yeah.
speaker1: Yeah.
speaker2: We should bring one of our chickens in sometime.
speaker1: Oh, no. No. Let's not do that. As it is, I was debating bringing down our cockatu
speaker2: just for a moment.
speaker1: Dragon, say bye.
speaker2: Bye. Th This is not what the reptilians look like, by the way. They're very different from this.
