Episode Summary

Paul and Michelle head into the wild world of cryptids, exploring two unsettling 2026 reports: a towering, hair-covered figure spotted beside a rural South Carolina highway, and fresh unexplained activity on Scotland’s legendary Loch Ness. From skeptical theories and blurry footage to the enduring hope behind these mysteries, they ask: are cryptids getting bolder—or are we finally paying closer attention? Enter the Coop, keep your flashlight charged, and keep one eye on the water.

Episode Notes

Paul and Michelle investigate two fresh cryptid mysteries making waves in 2026.

First, they head to Highway 292 near Spartanburg, South Carolina, where two late-night drivers reported seeing a huge, dark, hair-covered figure move upright into the woods. Was it Bigfoot, a black bear, or someone’s especially unusual uncle after a cookout?

Then it’s off to the misty Scottish Highlands and Loch Ness, where new reports and videos of strange dark shapes, sudden wakes, and unexplained movement have once again stirred up Nessie fever. The hosts explore why the Loch Ness Monster still captures our imagination—and whether these sightings offer more than just a mystery.

In this episode:

Speaker 1: This week on Spooky Coop, episode number 52, Paul and Michelle bring you two crypted stories. One about the Loch Ness monster sightings and another about a South Carolina Bigfoot encounter.

Speaker 1: Hi everyone, I'm Paul.

Speaker 2: And I'm Michelle.

Speaker 1: And you're in

Speaker 2: the spooky coop.

Speaker 1: Welcome to the spooky goo. Hope you're not chicken.

Speaker 1: Hello, Michelle.

Speaker 2: Hey, Paul.

Speaker 1: Are you coming into the coop or are you chicken?

Speaker 2: What?

Speaker 1: You, me, us, everybody, the audience from around the world, are you coming into the coop?

Speaker 2: I thought I was already here.

Speaker 1: You are you? I don't know.

Speaker 2: Of course.

Speaker 1: You look a little bit absent- minded. My my dear,

Speaker 2: you you sound a little loud.

Speaker 1: I I I increased the gain because people have been complaining my voice is too quiet.

Speaker 2: Oh,

Speaker 1: so

Speaker 1: me

Speaker 2: you

Speaker 1: me. Welcome to the Spooky Coop, guys. The show where we gather the strange stories, shut the coop door, and see who you can get out. And we hope

Speaker 2: Hope we're not the one laying eggs.

Speaker 1: And we ask the important questions such as if Bigfoot is standing by the side of a road in South Carolina at 11:30 at night, is he crossing the highway or is the highway crossing into the sacred woodlands of nonreality? By the way, uh why did Bigfoot cross the road?

Speaker 2: Why did he

Speaker 2: to get to the other side?

Speaker 1: No. Come on. Don't do that. Or has he simply missed an exit and refused to ask for directions?

Speaker 2: That's it's if it's a male Bigfoot. That's right.

[Timestamp: 01:32]

Speaker 1: Yeahhuh. Of course. Yeah. I I don't know why I should ask such stupid question stupid questions.

Speaker 2: So,

Speaker 1: cuz we're recording this late at night.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Tonight, late at night, we're talking about the Crypted Express from the Misty Highlands of Scotland to a dark stretch of highway outside.

Speaker 2: inside Spartanberg, South Carolina.

Speaker 2: Yep. Two fresh 2026 sightings and more. One enormous creature on land and one mysterious thing in the water. And if any one of them can be proven by science, it would be the biggest story on Earth. Oh, and by the way, if time allows, we even have a bonus story.

Speaker 1: Don't whisper.

Speaker 1: Speak loud or you're going to sound like me. Turn her gain up. Turn her gain up.

Speaker 2: Important disclaimer. No one here is saying that Bigfoot has a valid driver's license. Car seats don't go far enough back for that.

Speaker 1: And Nessie has a social media manager. Not worth the money if you ask me.

Speaker 2: Yeah, not worth money if you ask me either.

Speaker 1: We would discuss our brand with a new agent and if they're good, we'd let her know. Any takers?

Speaker 2: No, that would be nice.

Speaker 1: Yeah. This episode is about the reports, the mystery, the reactions, and the delight that 2026 has become a very busy year for creatures who dislike being photographed clearly. But try all the same. The blurry camera lobby is thriving unless it's a UFO. And frankly, some of those shots are very clear.

[Timestamp: 03:01]

Speaker 2: Yeah, they really are.

Speaker 1: Okay, let's begin in South Carolina, my dear.

Speaker 2: Okay, picture it. Late May 2026, Highway 292 near Inman and Lyman, northwest of Spartanberg is South Carolina. It's late around 11:30 at night. A driver and his passenger are heading down a rural road near

Speaker 1: Kulie Lake.

Speaker 2: Lake Coolie.

Speaker 2: The report says they topped a hill and their headlights caught something very large standing just off the roadway.

Speaker 1: Yeah.

Speaker 1: Now, I don't love that. I'm already thinking a rural road at night has has some surprises. Enough surprises. Dear, a madman escaping a nearby asylum. Somebody's escaped lawn decorations or other bizarre paraphernalia.

Speaker 2: And it's terrible when lawn lawn gnomes get rowdy and take it to the streets.

Speaker 1: Lawn gnomes get rowdy. I think that's the name of a new MGM movie that's coming out soon.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 1: Or worse, a bear has decided to confront Mikey's windshield.

Speaker 2: Ah, you know, I uh I don't like that.

Speaker 1: No.

Speaker 2: Anyway, The driver initially thought it might be a bear that got ready um a bear that was standing on its back feet and he got ready to swerve. You know, I would have swerved. You know what I mean?

Speaker 1: Um anyway, he was afraid it was going to dart into the road. You know, I had a nephew every time his car crashed, he said a deer darted into the road. How many deer darted into the road?

Speaker 1: Four.

Speaker 2: Four deer

Speaker 1: and a half.

Speaker 2: But it turned

[Timestamp: 04:30]

Speaker 1: Do you remember the time we were driving home late late at night from from clearing a a house. Yep.

Speaker 1: And we were driving north on Route Three.

Speaker 2: Uhhuh.

Speaker 1: And it was pitch black. It was completely black. And there was three cars, one right behind us and one to our left. And we were driving along.

Speaker 1: Of course, we were doing the speed limit. And all of a sudden, in my high beams was a huge buck with a magnificent rack standing just to the right of the front bumper.

Speaker 2: I remember that.

Speaker 1: And I slammed on the brakes. The car behind us almost collided and rode over top of us. The car to the left of us slammed on his brakes as well.

Speaker 2: Yeah, cuz

Speaker 1: we just we missed it by inches.

Speaker 2: Uhhuh.

Speaker 1: And all the way home all I could think was I almost had a different passenger. My hair flew out. I I It is so nerve-wracking being confronted by a deer on the road.

Speaker 2: Yeah. The worst part was that That wasn't far outside of Boston.

Speaker 1: No, it wasn't. No,

Speaker 2: we have a lot of wildlife here. That's to be sure.

Speaker 1: Yeah,

Speaker 1: but we diverge. I diverge. I apologize.

Speaker 2: Anyway, when they looked into the woods, they saw this thing was standing on two legs and uh and then it turned. It was upright and it was standing there.

Speaker 1: The passenger saw it, too.

Speaker 2: Mhm. Yes. Both witnesses described a very large, dark, haircovered figure. The passenger reportedly said it looked in sheer size like a horse standing on its hind legs.

[Timestamp: 06:06]

Speaker 1: That's how big it was.

Speaker 1: It was Mr. Ed. I know it.

Speaker 2: No, Mr. Ed was tan.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay. Cousin.

Speaker 2: Anyway, um it was it was standing there as tall as So, it wasn't like as tall as a black bear. It was tall as a horse. Like, like

Speaker 1: I had a horse once and he was only 15 hands tall. And if he were to stand on his hind legs, he would have been like at the top of his head, he probably would have been like almost 20 ft.

Speaker 2: Yeah. Really?

Speaker 1: Yeah. He would have been like I don't know 15 ft at least. Anyway,

Speaker 2: would you stop?

Speaker 1: Um I don't know. I probably I

Speaker 2: I know you you would stop.

Speaker 1: Yeah. But

Speaker 2: you'd say, "Paul, stop the car. Get the camera. Get the video. I'll be right back." No. Get back in the car.

Speaker 1: Would you?

Speaker 2: Would I?

Speaker 1: Yeah,

Speaker 2: I'd stop. Gosh darn yes.

Speaker 1: Yeah,

Speaker 1: we're in a car. It's It's It's hard enough for for a bear to break into a car, though. Not impossible.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 1: But you

Speaker 2: I I'd have to get a good look. I really would. I have to admit, I'd have to stop to get a a good look at something exotic like that.

Speaker 1: Yeah. It'd probably be gone by the time we got there, though.

Speaker 2: Anyway,

Speaker 2: you would, you know what you'd do? You would back up. You would stop, back up, um, and leave it a Starbucks card.

[Timestamp: 07:35]

Speaker 1: Hey, buddy. Here. Here's a Starbucks card.

Speaker 2: Trying to lure it back out.

Speaker 1: Uhhuh. Yeah.

Speaker 2: Yeah. You know, I would be smarter. I'd leave it um a a card for super cuts.

Speaker 1: Uh-huh. Yeah.

Speaker 2: Need a haircut.

Speaker 1: Yes. Okay.

Speaker 2: Anyway, the witnesses said it was at least 7 feet tall or more. Um I think that first when the guy said 7 feet tall, I think he was thinking bear, but I don't know. Any but he said it looked like a human when The guys pulled over, they started to talk about it. Apparently, they were so nervous. The more they talked about it and started thinking, they realized how tall it really was because, you know, they started saying, "What do you mean 7t tall?" It was taller than a a light post that, you know, that had uh stopping

Speaker 1: it could reach a light post. Yeah. If it reached up. Yeah.

Speaker 2: Yeah. And then they realized that's

Speaker 1: not the size you expect to see even in a black bear standing vertically.

Speaker 2: Yeah. That's you know, black bear wouldn't be hitting the stop goal. lights, you know.

Speaker 1: So, how large was it? It was large enough to file a complaint with the authorities or

Speaker 2: and then have the authorities laugh at it,

Speaker 1: right? Anyway, it was standing upright. It was covered with hair. And since it wasn't my brother, you know,

Speaker 2: how does your brother get involved in all these stories?

[Timestamp: 09:03]

Speaker 1: You you met my brother.

Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, yeah.

Speaker 1: And it wasn't my

Speaker 2: I like your brother.

Speaker 1: Yeah. It wasn't my brother. You don't know which brother I'm talking about, though. I have two brothers. Sorry, my apologies.

Speaker 2: The authorities decided that they were going to investigate after all. They, you know, I mean, with the idea that it might have been a huge bear and it could have been dangerous. So, um, they went out to investigate. They spoke with the witnesses. They visited the location. They looked at the surveillance cams in the woods. They didn't see anything. And unfortunately, there weren't any cameras by the side of the road.

Speaker 1: They didn't see any type of vegetation breaking or something like a bear would have done in the woods,

Speaker 2: right? And

Speaker 2: there was no physical evidence. So, they couldn't be directly linked to the sighting. And you know, like I said, there was no definitive answer.

Speaker 1: Mhm.

Speaker 1: Again,

Speaker 2: which dear listeners, is the crypted story in one breath. We saw something incredible followed by, "And it left no forwarding address."

Speaker 1: Yeah.

Speaker 2: Again.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Again. And anyway, the police did what the police did, you know, and the officer sir uh you know appeared sincere. The people appeared sincere but the officer said what a lot of us have heard over and over and over again when something happens. You hear the typical I believe that you believe what happened.

Speaker 2: You know that is how my best friend of 20 years ended our relationship

[Timestamp: 10:34]

Speaker 2: as best friends when I told him about what happened what I saw that was not supposed to exist, but that I saw aliens and he just it was too much for him. I said, you know, you don't just believe you believe that's like saying,

Speaker 2: "Can't you believe me? We've been best friends since we were kids."

Speaker 2: Yeah. And uh you know, that pretty much told me he thinks I'm crazy. You know,

Speaker 2: that's that's not a good foundation for a long-term friendship. And I've killed it off.

Speaker 1: My mother saw saw UFOs herself.

Speaker 1: Yes. And then when I told her

Speaker 1: she did, I saw one with her once late at night. Yes.

Speaker 1: Yeah. And then she said, "Well, I you know, I told her about abduction."

Speaker 2: Mhm.

Speaker 1: And she said, "Well, I believe that you believe it happened." You know, people, she saw UFOs, you know, it's like, "Who's driving them?" Uh,

Speaker 2: God God rest your mother. She is another story altogether. She's maybe an episode or five.

Speaker 1: Oh, yes. And so, and she's a she's like two years of therapy.

Speaker 2: My therapy, not hers. Some people have you beat on that. There's some people with decades of So anyway, what dear listeners, what do you think? Massive huge bear.

Speaker 1: Nah. Exactly. What was this? The prover the proverbial

Speaker 2: I know you're trying to say proverbial. Your brain has it in there. Proverbial black bear.

Speaker 1: It can't come out. Uh that was standing amazingly upright looking like a human being much taller than it could ever be.

[Timestamp: 12:07]

Speaker 2: But bear in mind,

Speaker 1: pun intended,

Speaker 2: you know, that was bad. Anyway, I'd like to go on the record that I heard that p pun coming from three Bigfoot miles away.

Speaker 1: Like a 12-oot creature crossing the highway.

Speaker 2: Uh-huh. Getting to the other side.

Speaker 2: And I um I would like to show on the record that his joke is approaching from three countries away.

Speaker 1: Countries or counties? Countries is pretty big. I'll go with counties if you go with that.

Speaker 2: Well, whatever.

Speaker 1: It's like a 12oot creature crossing a highway.

Speaker 2: Yeah. To get to the other side.

Speaker 1: Public reports online naturally range from that's Bigfoot to that's a bear to that's somebody's weird uncle after too many Budweisers at a cookout.

Speaker 1: But it isn't my brother.

Speaker 2: But he's not your brother. The South has a rich trai. Now I can't speak. I made it further this time without without blowing up my mouth. The rich

Speaker 1: There go your teeth. Encore. The South has a rich tradition of hospitality. And maybe Bigfoot was on his way to a cookout on his way to a Myrtle Beach vacation.

Speaker 2: Oh my god. Myrtle Beach. Bigfoot on a beach.

Speaker 1: Why not?

Speaker 2: Honestly, that is the perfect image.

Speaker 1: Yeah.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 1: Sunglasses.

Speaker 2: Yeah. He arrives, he puts his sunglasses. on. He's lying there. He says, "No photos, please." Then he orders some sweet tea. You know, he's on Myrtle Beach. I mean, you got to put the umbrella. You got to say, "No sweet tea, please." Or he has to say, "Oh, I'll have a large sweet tea." You got to have sweet tea. I'll have a large sweet tea. Oh, wait a minute. Wait a minute. And then he starts rubbing um sunscreen on and it just stays on his hair cuz, you know, he's so thick hair. And then after a while, he starts looking like the abomin able snow monster with all the white sunscreen on them and it's shining and everyone's thinking the abominable snow monster is on the beach but it's not melting.

[Timestamp: 14:09]

Speaker 1: But seriously, Bigfoot is a real phenomena, a cryptic reported worldwide, something or someone of a humanlike nature.

Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's so funny to think of him on the beach. By the way, people also report that Bigfoot has an interesting language all of its own. Um, if you're interested uh in the the quote the Sierra sounds.

Speaker 1: Yeah, we've talked about it and played some of the original recordings in a previous episode.

Speaker 2: Episode number 39, the life and crimes of Leo Green slash the language of Bigfoot is the title.

Speaker 1: Try it.

Speaker 2: It's a lot of It's a fun fun episode. We had a a really good time putting that together.

Speaker 1: What did it sound like?

Speaker 2: Yeah, it's I'm sounding like a Japanese. I'm sorry. It's not I would do it. Something like that.

Speaker 1: You sound You sound like an old 60s version of what they thought J what they thought oriental language sound like, which is awful.

[Timestamp: 15:07]

Speaker 2: Which is awful.

Speaker 1: I'm tempted to.

Speaker 1: And you don't sound like Bigfoot. I would give you a zero out of 10.

Speaker 2: Fine.

Speaker 1: You got to go watch the episode.

Speaker 2: I aquest immediately. I cannot do it. Okay.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Go listen to what the episode sounds like.

Speaker 2: Okay. So, where are we going

Speaker 1: anyway? After that terrible rendition, on our way to Scotland.

Speaker 2: The home of castles, kilts, and dramatic scenery, and a famous lake resident who has spent nearly a century refusing to provide a clean, well-lit head shot.

Speaker 1: That's for sure.

Speaker 2: No lack of humility here.

Speaker 1: And you've guessed it's the Loch Ness monster, I'm sure. Now, Lochess,

Speaker 2: it's in the title, so I think they had an idea.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Loch Ness Monster.

Speaker 2: A

Speaker 2: uh you know, I've learned to speak Canadian. A How How do you spell Canada?

Speaker 1: Uh, C A N A D A.

Speaker 2: Anyway, uh, Loch Ness is enormous, deep, dark body of water, and it's famous around the world for the reports of a large unidentified creature. Nessie the Loch Ness monster. And before anyone says, "Oh, it's just a lake." Loch Ness is huge. It is a long, seemingly narrow, and has an average depth of 433 ft. Its deepest depth is 745 ft. And it has its own weather system and cold water. The way the wind blows and stuff, it it's got its own sort of weather system. Like Mount Washington in New Hampshire has its own weather system.

[Timestamp: 16:35]

Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, Mount Washington is nowhere near the tallest mountain in the world, but it has some of the absolute worst weather ever recorded.

Speaker 2: Highest wind speed on Earth was recorded there. 250 something. There may have been one other place that that broke that record at one point.

Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, remember the time we went up to Mount Washington, my glasses froze solid, so I took them off and it made my eyes like

Speaker 2: You could see.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Made my eyes freeze in such a way that I saw

Speaker 2: blind as a bat, folks. Without her glasses, she can't see three feet in front of her.

Speaker 2: Nope. Can't.

Speaker 1: And she read a license plate off to us and the kids. I couldn't believe it.

Speaker 2: Yeah. I It was amazing. Anyway, um waves wakes of it of things floating in the water, you know, like branches or whatever. Somebody threw a coke can in, I don't know,

Speaker 1: and um logs, branches, birds, fish, boats.

Speaker 2: Um even distant lights of boats and villages around, right?

Speaker 2: Um and changing weather can make it really really hard to judge the distant distance across the lakes or any movement on the lakes. you're seeing trying to determine what it is.

Speaker 1: Yep. In early 2026, the Loch Ness Monster Sightings Registry, which is a real place.

Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's a place on the internet,

Speaker 1: logged its first reported sighting of the year. A visitor described a dark greenish gray body or shape emerging from the water.

[Timestamp: 18:06]

Speaker 2: A dead alien

Speaker 1: near the Cal too small. The Caledonian canal visible for only a few seconds before dipping back under. Maybe it was an alien. Their feet flip right up. you know, the head right down.

Speaker 2: But then more footage and more water anomalies began circulating online of dark shapes and swift wakes of water doing something that is difficult to identify, but really looks like the the the hump of a back or a head cresting from the water.

Speaker 1: Yeah. The particular footage people are posting online, not only just on this registry, but all over Reddit, you name it. Right.

Speaker 2: Um it's just like on the internet. It's like fastm moving dark objects. Um they agree that it's moving too fast just to be an ordinary thing just or like debris or shadows on the water. Some of these films are really impelling.

Speaker 1: Mhm. Compelling

Speaker 2: or compelling. I'm sorry if they were I thought you were making a boat joke for a minute.

Speaker 1: Well, maybe I was.

Speaker 2: Maybe you were. Yes. But we are still waiting for the perfect money shot that will prove that's just shadow. That

Speaker 1: prove that's just shadows on a rogue wave people. They're wrong.

Speaker 2: The just shadows on a rogue wave people.

Speaker 1: Yeah, they're wrong. I've heard water is an incredible actor and a one-time famous spy for the Met

Speaker 2: of Scotland. Oh, yeah. You know that guy. Uh double that guy. Double H27.

[Timestamp: 19:32]

Speaker 1: Seven. Yeah, I remember him. Okay, go ahead. All yours.

Speaker 2: Yeah, that H27 who caught Dr. No way.

Speaker 1: Please, I'm holding my breath. Just go. Just do it.

Speaker 2: Seriously, there's no reason that the Nessie legend the Serious See, there's a reason why the Nessie legend has lasted. It's not just the mystery of the lock itself or the money that the legend brings to the Taurus.

Speaker 1: By way of the Taurus,

Speaker 2: by way of the Tourists don't get money. They go there and they spend it. They're broke when they laugh.

Speaker 1: That's true.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 1: Spending it all on film.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 1: Empty shots of waves and logs floating along.

Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. The

Speaker 1: once in a while that

Speaker 2: tail running out of the water.

Speaker 2: The tail of the lock. It's the feeling or the energy if you will of the of man's need to connect with the primal, the untouched by the hand. Nessie is something mankind has only seen glimpse of but never held, never put in a zoo, never even made a plaster cast of a footprint. Maybe if we hold a creature that survived from prehistoric past, it gives us hope of our future, not just of a massive lake eel that fills us with hope that we can go beyond our limits. The Loch Ness monster is more than a simple mystery. It's a puzzle that has It's been Your dogs are barking. It's a puzzle.

Speaker 1: I'm going to go throw him in in Loch Ness soon if he doesn't stop barking.

[Timestamp: 21:04]

Speaker 2: It's a puzzle that has a centerpiece of the undiscovered hope of mankind. In fact, the first well-known Loch Ness monster sighting was actually in 1933. Paul, tell us what also happened in 1933.

Speaker 1: What What happened in 1933?

Speaker 2: Well, coincidentally, if you want me to tell them, I will.

Speaker 1: Oh, no. It's okay. I can Okay. In 1933, the world was a mess. The economy of the world was at the worst point of the Great Depression. It was trying to come back from the stock market crash. In 1933, the Nazis took over Germany. I don't like Nazis.

Speaker 2: I don't like Nazis.

Speaker 1: It became illegal in the US to own gold, causing a lot of people to lose their personal savings. By the way, the lifting of this law did not happen until the end of 1974.

Speaker 2: Yeah, that's wild.

Speaker 1: Mhm. The unemployment rate was 25% in the US and up to 40% in Europe. Banks were forced to close for 4 days. And when they opened again, many had collapsed. Many more had no money for people with small accounts, causing the average person to lose everything. There was no employment. There was no unemployment insurance, no welfare, and most soup kitchens had very little. Now, in 2026, as our world economy is facing such similar lack of hope over economic times, I'll let you say this.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 1: Could Nessie be appearing

Speaker 2: to bring hope once again as a or is this only a suggestion or is she here to signal bad times and that's a suggestion as well? I'd like to think it's hope. The theory or idea that she that she as a crypted or surviving species though is far more mainstream.

[Timestamp: 22:47]

Speaker 1: That's right. Yep. And and you know Michelle Nessie posted on Blue Sky Yeah, you know Blue Sky. I I

Speaker 2: She posted on Blue Sky.

Speaker 1: I'm real. No further questions. It's hard enough to type with fins.

Speaker 2: I wonder what her screen name is.

Speaker 1: I don't know. That's a good one.

Speaker 2: If any of you know her,

Speaker 1: it's going to be Nessie 504 because everybody else Okay.

Speaker 2: Anyway, um yeah, I saw that and I gave it a like. You know,

Speaker 1: you did.

Speaker 2: Yeah, I found her screen name. I'm not telling her.

Speaker 1: I I like that Nessie is not a hurting people. She's just setting boundaries.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 1: I I love Scotland. I I wish we could go there ourselves and see the lock and maybe see Nessie.

Speaker 2: Yeah. But not until we get monetized.

Speaker 1: Monetized. Huh.

Speaker 2: Then we'll have the money.

Speaker 1: Until then, we'll we'll just deal with social security. So, did you know there is an official Loch Ness sightings website that you can visit to submit a report about the Nessie sighting?

Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. It's called Loch Nessightings.com. What an original name. You can't get that confused.

Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like our our email. Send it to spooky coupoopgmail.com.

Speaker 2: gmail.com.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Better yet, send your reports to that to us as well. We'd love to hear spooky sendooky.com or any other story you might have.

[Timestamp: 24:08]

Speaker 2: Yeah. Heck, send it to both.

Speaker 1: Yeah.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 1: The report. Sorry. Go ahead.

Speaker 2: Yeah. Go ahead.

Speaker 1: No, the reports are fun to examine. You know, what did you see? How long did it last? What was the weather like? Were boats nearby? Did you get a photo? or video. You know, some people will say it's a tire.

Speaker 2: Yeah. But you know what? A tire in 4K doesn't look like the Loch Ness Monster.

Speaker 1: Lots of good details.

Speaker 2: It says, you know, Goodyear on it or something. If the Loch Ness Monster says inflate to PSI 60,

Speaker 1: you know, it could have been. It could be uh wake from a boat that was actually from Norway as well.

Speaker 2: Norway. Oh, no. We better get uh double H207 out there

Speaker 1: to catch Doctor catch doctor. No way.

Speaker 2: So awful.

Speaker 1: Well, it's an option

Speaker 2: and an unnecessary one.

Speaker 1: So why do stories like these keep catching on? South Carolina Sasquatch Nessie both in 2026. Viral clips, comment sections with people arguing whether or not that blurry shape is a monster, a beer. Uh I wanted to say a shrimp. or a stump or a boat.

Speaker 2: Yeah. A stump. A wake of a boat. A guy named Doug.

Speaker 1: Doug.

Speaker 2: a shrimp.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Because they give us permission to look at the ordinary world and ponder what might be extraordinary.

Speaker 2: A road that comes uh a road becomes more than a road. A lock or a lake more than just water. The woods become less of a map and more like a place where something could be watching you.

Speaker 1: Not in a scary way necessarily, sometimes in a fun way.

Speaker 2: You see that?

Speaker 1: A little more wonder, a little more attention. Do

Speaker 2: you remember the time that the road m I was driving down the road and all of a sudden I started to laugh and I couldn't stop laughing?

Speaker 1: Mhm. Yes. You called me. I remember that.

Speaker 1: hey Boo Boo.

Speaker 2: Hey Boo Boo. You want to pick a Nick basket? If you're old enough to know that one. Hi doggy. Look at all these mushrooms.

Speaker 1: Start over.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Don't go wandering in the woods, especially if you don't know where you are.

Speaker 2: Mhm.

Speaker 1: Mhm. Look back to at today's story and the case files are both still open. The South Carolina witnesses say something large, very large was along that highway that night on the Highway 292. If you live around there at

Speaker 2: That's right. And the Coop doors remain open for your stories.

Speaker 1: Before we go, here's this week. week's question for everyone listening. Do you think cryptids are getting bolder or are we simply paying closer attention? And if you had a mysterious sighting of your own, what would it take for you to say, "Okay, that was definitely not a bear."

Speaker 2: Send us your thoughts, your stories, your theories, whatever. Hey, Paul, do we have time for that next story?

Speaker 1: Oh, is we're at 29 minutes.
